Well here we are at the link page.
I have a few friends that are on the web and some
more than others deserve a mention, but seeing as I have oodles of space,
I will give them all a mention.
Before you all start fighting over who is first
on my list, it is done purely and simply the way I want it, no preference
to one person, just a list!
Dave
is a great guy. He helped me iron out a few problems when I first started
building my page, and boy, when I went back to check if this link was still
live, I was astounded at how much he had done. Take a peek, it is more
than worth it.
Colin
is another one of the people that I used to call all the time. Our
friendship started by Colin wanting to know how to start building a page.
He called me initially but it ended up with us both teaching each other
what to do. Colin was probably my best mentor and I owe him a lot
of thanks, which is probably why he also has a mention on my Thanks page.
Nick
well he is a sheepy kinda person as is Vince (whose link appears next).
Nick has not long started building his page, but he is working on it as
we speak. Keep checking back, I guarantee it will be great.
Uta is Nick's mum and she has just put her page live. Go pay her a visit and look at the great job she has done :o)
Chrissie
is Nick's sister and has a not so personal Web page. But she is based in South Africa
and has her own business which deals in ...... no go and have a look.
Vince
is another sheepy kinda guy. I secretly think there is something very 'fishy'
going on but I have yet to have my doubts confirmed. Watch this space!
Anyway Vince's page is, well, it 'is'. It will have you in fits and also
there is a poetic side to him. He has worked really hard on his page and
I do remember when it was a boring, no boring is the wrong word, bland
as mine, yes bland that is the word I was looking for. Way to go Vin!
Smelly Kelly is my part time woman and PART TIME is the operative term. She has just found out that creating page is not only great fun, but also a fantastic way of 'expressing' yourself. HA HA good on you girly, great job!
Tony
Sutton is a pleb, but he has to have a mention as his page is great
for newbies to look and learn from. Thanks Tony for your help also!
I just surfed on to a brilliant web page that
has all you need to know about my ideal older man. He is the great
Michael Palin.
I would love to spend a year with this man to talk about all the places
that he has been to. He is down to earth and likes to do what the locals
do. If he goes to a country where the special dish is cockroaches, he will
eat them. He is also very funny in all the films and Monty Python series.
Go get them Michael!
Book buff? Well here is heaven for you. I have
never actually ordered a book from here yet, but I have to have a say on
this point that REALLY irritates me. When we in the UK go to buy a book
it is marked up as follows:- $29.99 US, $42.95 CAN, 26.95 UK. The
thing is this. If I ever convert $'s in to 's the rate I use is
1 = $1.50. This should mean that this book should cost us approx.
20.00 HA bloody HA! Rip off! I am one of those people you always
try and avoid in a bookshop or at the book shelves of a computer store
as I am always spouting this useless piece of information to all the will
listen (and a few that wont). That is why I have given this page a link
from here as you can buy the books at US price, the shipping is not that
expensive and it will 'plop' on your doorstep in under 6 weeks! Go
Amazon!
We all have this habit of collecting things, be
it shells, key rings, postcards. Well mine is Planet
Hollywood pins and even though I have only been to 3 of them, I have
5 pins to date. The restaurants are pretty cool too, They have
heaps of memorabilia and the food is pretty scrummy too. Check to
see if you have a Planet Hollywood near you, or have a look at the other
ones all over the world!
I also use ICQ to communicate with my friends and you can download this
from the Mirabilis home page. ICQ is a great way to communicate with other ICQ users, and the one thing that I find brilliant is that you can send a file 'real time' and the person is getting it 'real time'. Another brilliant aspect is when you are talking to a person and you find a brilliant website that you want to share, all you have to do is hit the persons name, 'send URL' button, add a comment if you want and BAM it has gone to the other person. All that person has to do then is hit a button and they go directly to that page. (if their browser is running)
